The Green Experience: Accommodation and Cycle Tourism Among Orange and Olive Trees

The Camp de Morvedre region (Valencia) serves as the playground for The Green Experience, a project by the company Ruralgimia that combines agritourism, rural accommodations, and a farm with citrus and olive trees. The synergies achieved—both within the project and with other establishments and initiatives in the region—have earned them the second prize at the European LEADER Awards for the most impactful and innovative rural initiatives in Europe, a significant recognition of their commitment to rural development and sustainable tourism. Their approach is to run “the happiness industry” by integrating their offerings into a multifaceted experience and applying the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
