MAR: Weaving a Support Network for Rural Women Artists

MAR is a project aimed at promoting the work of rural women creators, giving visibility to their realities, and connecting and developing joint projects to revitalize rural areas and reduce cultural dependence on cities. Rural areas in Aragón show limited visibility of women artists and low cultural activity, especially in smaller or aging villages. MAR provides rural activation services for the planning, programming, and management of any event. The MAR network already includes 321 women. They have organized five festivals, with an average of 600 attendees, as well as several training days and workshops.
