IGUALAB: A Gender Approach for More Sustainable and Equal Rural Development

The IGUALAB cooperative project addresses the need to move toward an egalitarian model of rural development. Five local action groups from Andalusia and Navarre have participated in this project to improve the quality of life for women and men in their territories. To achieve this, they have developed tools, adaptable to the specific characteristics of each area, that enable progress toward real and effective equality—one of the major challenges in our society—such as the Young Motor Groups, which debate and assess the situation of women and youth and seek possible solutions through participatory methodologies in each region.
